Avoid tilting, edges, or materials <5mm thick (may cause high/no readings). c. Avoid metal (nails/wires), salt, static, rough surfaces, or debris → clean measurement points for accuracy. d. Shows relative values only → compare multiple points to map moisture distribution. e.Cannot measure free water/surface film or display absolute moisture content
- NOTE (Pin Probe Measurement): a.Insert pins fully into wood/building materials at consistent depth. b. Measure wood across the grain (not parallel to rings) to avoid skewed readings from uneven insertion. c. Keep ≥5cm from edges to prevent false moisture detection. d. Accuracy may decrease on wood below -5°C
